Liquid silicone rubber injection molding is the most recent addition to OEM’s manufacturing operations. Improved performance properties, faster cycle times, and the ability to mold complex parts make it a good choice for a variety of molded components. Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) remains flexible and elastic beyond -70F and retains its properties up to 450F which makes liquid silicone rubber a good candidate for gaskets, seals, boots, bellows, medical devices and other applications where outdoor conditions are demanding. The ability to automate the molding process makes LSR ideal for high volume applications. The flow properties of LSR make it critical to manufacture a precision mold to prevent secondary operations caused by excess flash in the molding process
